section message activated

I have this Warning showing on my Control Panel:

rt_crystalline_j15          this template doesn't have the section message activated

If a template doesn't have the section message activated you can't see the component feedback in front end.
You need to add this text <jdoc:include type="message" /> somewhere above this text <jdoc:include type="component" /> in the index.php file of the template.
For more information see this web page : http://docs.joomla.org/Jdoc_statements

I looked at the index.php (//templates/rt_crystalline_j15/index.php) and it does not have any jdoc:include's.

This is a new template from RocketTheme and it uses the Gantry Framework.  Could this be the problem?

I am going to try creating a form module and see if it works anyway.

A friend who recommended this said it defaults to a left module position, which is not available in this template.

Any ideas?

Daniel

Re: section message activated

Some templates have that jdoc statement in a different file. aiContactSafe doesn't look for it anywhere else, but if you get the error and confirmation messages on your page you can ignore that warning.

Re: section message activated

Thanks - I went ahead and just tried it and everything works great despite the warning message.  Here is the page I created for my client - http://acmepizzaria.com/win-a-burgah-contest

I am looking forward to creating more complex forms.

And a question -can you have different fields attached to each profile?  I can see creating multiple forms but wanting to have different fields for each.  Otherwise you are limited to only being able to create one form.

Of course you can.
At the bottom section of the profile window you can select which fields to use in the profile and in what order.
Feel free to post more questions about it if you have them. smile
