right now the default message displayed after sending an email is:

Email sent. Thank you for your message.

How can I modify that for different profiles so each has a unique confirmation message?
The administrator has disabled public write access.

That is a parameter of the profile called "Thank you message". Just modify that to any text you want to use.
The administrator has disabled public write access.
