Thank you very much to all for letting me know.
I'll try to find a different solution or add that as a parameter in the next version.

I too have the issue of the CAPTCHA not displaying. All that is displaying is 3 fullstops ( ... ).

I have tried the fix mentioned above, but this does not help in my case. I am wondering if it's a permissions issue as I am hosted on a new server that has tight permissions set on all folders.

So, first question is, what are the default folder permissions required for the CAPTCHA to work? Secondly, if it is not the folder permissions, any other suggestion as to what could be causing it not to display.

Everything else is working fine - just not this aspect.

Thanks,
Scott.

There are no special permissions required for CAPTCHA to work.

If your page displays only those 3 dots you most likely have a javascript conflict on your site.
Make sure you don't have other extensions that are using other javascript libraries then mootools ( the default javascript library of Joomla ).
Test the site with a different template.
Post a link to your site here so I can take a look into it.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I actually got it all working by using the Multiple CAPTCHA and using reCAPTCHA (with the keys). This all works perfectly, so all good.

Thanks again for the prompt reply and love the software!

Cheers,
Scott.
